MantraLock is a spiritual wellness app that blocks distracting apps until you complete a brief sadhana (spiritual practice) involving reading a Bhagavad Gita shloka and reciting a sacred mantra.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we collect:

Email address (may be anonymized via Apple's relay)
Name (optional)
Unique user identifier

Usage Data

Sadhana session data (mood selected, shloka viewed, mantra recited, duration)
Progress metrics (streaks, total sessions, shlokas read)
App preferences (blocked apps list, reminder settings, theme)
Onboarding responses (spiritual goals, commitment level)
Device information (iOS version, device type, app version)

We Do NOT Collect

Screen Time data or browsing history from other apps
Health data from HealthKit
Location data
Contacts or photos
Biometric data (Face ID is processed on-device by Apple)

How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the MantraLock service
Match Bhagavad Gita shlokas to your selected mood (via AI)
Track your sadhana progress and streaks
Send reminder notifications (if opted in)
Process your subscription (via RevenueCat/Apple)
Improve app features and user experience
Provide customer support

We do NOT use your data for advertising. We do NOT sell your data. Ever.

Supabase – Authentication and data storage (hosted on AWS)
RevenueCat – Subscription management
Apple Services – Sign in with Apple, App Store, Screen Time API
OpenAI – Shloka-to-mood matching (only mood data sent, no personal info)
Sentry – Crash and error reporting

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (AWS), encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures including secure authentication, access controls, and regular security updates.

Your Rights

Access: Request a copy of your data via devsquair@gmail.com
Delete: Profile > Settings > Delete Account in the app
Export: Request a CSV export via devsquair@gmail.com
GDPR (EU): Rectification, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent
CCPA (California): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of data sales (we do not sell data)

Children's Privacy

MantraLock is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us at devsquair@gmail.com if you believe we have.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and notify users of material changes via in-app notification.
